CONCERT VISUALS | 2024
In collaboration with Possible Productions, I developed stage visuals for Snoop Dogg’s performance at The Game Awards 2024. The project focused on creating visual content for the iconic track “Gin & Juice”. See below more detail about the project.
CONCEPTING
The concept for these stage visuals was inspired by the ‘Gin & Juice’ music video, released in 1993. The video takes place in Snoop’s house and around his neighborhood, eventually leading to a house party. For a more accurate representation of the scenes that were being developed in 3D, AI was used to create more accurate concept shots blending the reference images and the 3D early sketches.
90’s LA NEIGHBORHOOD
The full content consists of three scenes: a side-scrolling looping neighborhood, a transition clip, and a final symmetrical shot featuring bouncing cars and a house. As shown below, a small neighborhood was created using 3D models to capture the look and feel of the ’90s.
BOUNCING CARS
The bouncing cars were animated using an unconventional but efficient approach. By combining Fields and Delay effectors with a Spring modifier, there was no need for rigging or manual animation. Instead, different preset positions cycled as various fields moved through the car.
